Sloppy Joe is in the oven!
Dave has just put the finishing touches on his manuscript for Sloppy Joe, a hilarious picture book being illustrated by Denise Brunkus, the illustrator of the oh-so-famous Junie B. Jones series and Laura and Jenna Bush's recent release, Read All About It. HarperCollins plans to release Sloppy Joe with great fanfare in the Spring of '09. Stay tuned!

Why did the brain cross the road?
Dave is pleased to announce that his picture book Bobby Bramble Loses His Brain will be released by Clarion Books in the Spring of '09. This wild and whacky story about a boy with a wandering mind (literally!) is being illustrated by the awesome David Clark. You can see samples of his work here. Stay tuned for further developments.

Monster School coming soon!
Dave has started the illustrations for the first release in a new Easy-to-Read series called Monster School. HarperCollins is set to release the first book, First Day Frights, in Summer of 2010. Stay tuned for further developments.

Daddy Adventure Day coming in 2010.
Dave once took his six-year-old daughter to a Giants baseball game in San Francisco. He based a picture book manuscript on that costly outing and now it's slated to be released by Philomel (Penguin) in the Summer of 2010. It's being illustrated by the talented Sue Rama. You can see samples of Sue's work at her website. Stay tuned!
